Loan Repayment Calculator

How your repayment is worked out

Your repayment depends on three things: how much you borrow, the interest rate and the loan term. Change any one of them and the figure moves, sometimes by more than you expect. A 30-year term keeps repayments lower but adds years of interest. A shorter term costs more each month and far less overall.

Use the calculator to test a few scenarios before you commit. Try a rate one or two percentage points above today's to see how your budget holds up if rates rise. Compare monthly against fortnightly repayments, since paying fortnightly makes 26 payments a year rather than the equivalent of 24.

The result covers principal and interest only. It does not include lender fees, offset accounts or changes to your rate over the life of the loan. An NLG broker can show you how specific loans compare once those details are in.

Results are estimates for general information only. They are not credit advice and do not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Speak with an NLG broker before making a decision.
